Menopause and Medicine: an unfortunate history, a promising future
May Sanaee, MD MHScEd FRCSC, is a practicing Urogynecologist at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta and has a special interest in pelvic floor health, especially related to the minimally invasive surgical management of pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence. She is also a medical educator and researcher. Dr. Sanaee has expertise ranging from pelvic floor mesh complications to the use of mindfulness for the treatment of chronic sexual pain.

She also has advanced knowledge in comprehensive hormonal evaluations, Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, nutritional and exercise programs, and natural therapies.
Susan is PhD Candidate at the University of Alberta and a Nursing Professor. Susan loves teaching but is even more passionate about women’s health and supporting women to feel their best at any age!

She obtained her degree in nutrition with a minor in kinesiology from the University of Alberta and has practiced in many different areas and has many passions within the field.
